Dear Devotees,
All glories and oblations to Lord Krishna. We hope this finds you well and under Lord Krishna’s glory.
With Nitai-Gauranga’s blessings, and your sweet nectarine devotion, SankirtanFest 2025: Kurukshetra, enabled devotees that attended in-person and virtually to be reminded of Krishna’s divine message to Arjuna: to pursue one’s duty without the expectation of reward and without distraction. We trust you agree that SankirtanFest followed this message during the Kurukshetra event with bold choices in several areas. Some of the key aims that were set by SankirtanFest at the outset of the Kurukshetra event included:
The drawing up of a more modest budget than previous years with cost containment measures in force.
Redesigning the Kirtan theatre to ensure the Lordships appear clearly supreme relative to the Kirtan performance area.
Breaking the repetition of past prasadam wastage.
Embedding further innovation throughout the event.
In relation to the above aims, SankirtanFest successfully met them, despite some resistance in some areas; however, SankirtanFest remained firm and focussed on its duty to deliver a spiritually uplifting Sankirtan, within its red lines and this year was a great success, seeing devotees attend from:
Scotland;
North;
West Midlands;
South Coast; and of course,
the East Midlands where we have formed new relationships; as well as
virtually, worldwide
Once again, communities united and connected through Sankirtan, the Seva network came together to pull off an incredibly complex event; with special thanks due to the venue partner and their team who were outstanding, enabling Kirtaniyas from near and far to give us unforgettable memories that will remain with us forever.
SankirtanFest is grateful to every devotee who participated at Kurukshetra and brought the vision to Life!
Some of the key highlights, included:
Grand entrance of their Lordships Jagganath, Balaram, and Subhadra.
Varied line-up and engaging Kirtaniya incorporating Eastern and modern Kirtan styles
Devotional talks, stalls, and kids fun area.
Below we summarise the financial outturn of the Kurukshetra event.

SankirtanFest is now in its fourth year and Kurukshetra saw some key aims met to enable a sustainable future for the community, going forwards. Feedback was received during the event and include the following common threads:
Prasadam queue management should be better designed and planned.
Venue choice should be considered alongside parking.
All Seva Crew members should be spoken to with respect.

We are pleased to announce that, should Lord Krishna allow it, SankirtanFest will return next year.
We are currently sketching out a high-level outline for a possible Sankirtan festival in Rome and we will be in touch soon via the WhatsApp groups to provide more details on its feasibility. This will be a logistically challenging event and so we will need to take some time with the SankirtanFest Guardians to assess its relative merits .
For now, stay blessed and we hope to connect with you soon.
In your humble service,
SankirtanFest PMO
